The overall crime rate under Karimnagar Police Commissionerate limits went down by 16.84% in 2025 when compared to the previous year. Grave crimes declined by 9.09% and crimes against women fell by 5.18% this year, police said.

While property offences slightly increased by 3.73%, property recovery rate and property detection rate increased by 24% and 10%, respectively.

Coordinated efforts and systematic tracking of offenders resulted in significant property recoveries, said Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam.

Speaking to the media in Karimnagar on Saturday, he said as many as 157 property offenders were arrested this year.

He outlined various new initiatives implemented by the police under Karimnagar Police Commissionerate such as empowering women staff under ‘SHE LEADS’ programme among others.
