President Murmu, PM Modi, Governor, leaders greet CM Stalin on his birthday

President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor R.N. Ravi, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, leaders of various political parties, and actor Rajinikanth, among others, extended their birthday greetings to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin on Sunday (March 1, 2026).

Mr. Stalin visited the memorials of late DMK leaders and former Chief Ministers C.N. Annadurai and M. Karunanidhi and also the memorial of late social reformer ‘Periyar’ E.V. Ramasamy and paid floral tributes on Sunday morning (March 1, 2026). In her letter, the President, who also spoke over the phone, said, “May God bless you with good health and happiness and many more years of continued and dedicated service to the nation.”

PM Modi spoke to Mr. Stalin over the phone and greeted him on his birthday. In a social media post, PM Modi said, “Best wishes to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Thiru M.K. Stalin, on his birthday. may he be blessed with a long life and good health.”

T.N. Lok Bhavan quoted Governor Ravi as saying: “My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Thiru M.K. Stalin on his birthday. I pray for his good health and happy long life.”

Mr. Singh posted on social media: “Greetings and warm wishes to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Thiru M.K. Stalin ji. May he lead a long and healthy life.” Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju also wished Mr. Stalin good health, happiness and strength on the special day.

Kerala CM Vijayan, also a CPI (M) polit bureau member, described Mr. Stalin as his “dear brother” and said, “Your steadfast leadership and dedication to the welfare of the people continue to be a source of inspiration. On this occasion, I also salute your unwavering resolve in protecting the democratic and secular ethos of our country against the forces of divisiveness. As we stand together to uphold the constitutional values that define our country, I wish you a year of good health, happiness, and continued success in serving the people.”

In his greetings, Mr. Kharge said, “Together, we shall continue our unwavering commitment to safeguarding the values of the Constitution, including federalism and strengthening democratic principles. Wishing you a long and healthy life.” Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav wished Mr. Stalin good health, a long life and continued strength in public life. Rajya Sabha MP and Makkal Needhi Maiam founder Kamal Haasan Mr. Rajinikanth called Mr. Stalin over the phone and extended their birthday greetings.

BJP leaders Tamilisai Soundararajan and K. Annamalai, DMDK general secretary Premallatha Vijayakant, Congress’ State unit leaders led by K. Selvaperunthagai and leaders of various political parties, among others, extended their birthday greetings to Mr. Stalin on Sunday (March 1, 2026).
