President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday arrived at the sacred abode of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on a two-day pilgrimage.
On her arrival at the Padmavati guest house, where she would stay for the night, Ms. Murmu was accorded a warm reception by Andhra Pradesh Home Minister V. Anitha, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Collector Dr. Venkateswarlu, Superintendent of Police L. Subbarayudu, Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, TTD board members and other officials.
As per the itinerary, the President would offer prayers at the hill temple on Friday morning after worshipping at the temple of Lord Varahaswamy.
After a brief stay at the guest house, she would go to the Tirupati airport, from where she would leave for Hyderabad.
