Prem Anand Sinha is Avadi Police Commissioner

Inspector General of Police, South Zone, Prem Anand Sinha, has been promoted and posted as Additional Director General of Police/Commissioner, Avadi.

Before being posted to South Zone, Mr. Sinha served in Chennai city as Additional Commissioner of Police, South. He introduced the e-pass system for people to travel during the COVID-19 lockdown in Chennai city. 

He also served as Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, and Joint Commissioner of Police, North, in the city. 

As IGP, South Zone, Mr. Sinha handled sensitive events like the Immanuel Sekaran anniversary and Thevar Jayanthi celebrations. Technology was used effectively to manage huge gatherings of devotees at the Dusserha festival in Kulasekarapattinam and Thaipoosam at Tirupparankundram and Palani temples. 

Mr. Sinha is recipient of the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service and Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Outstanding Commitment and Selfless Public Service.
