As the Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the IPL Championship trophy for the second time, congratulatory messages poured in from different quarters, including prominent politicians of Karnataka.

In his congratulatory message, caretaker Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said: “Congratulations to our RCB on lifting the trophy for the second consecutive time. This victory, earned through a united team effort, has created a festive atmosphere in the homes of RCB fans everywhere. Throughout the tournament, the fearless brand of cricket displayed by the RCB boys seemed to leave opposing teams with no answers.”

At the same time, Mr. Siddaramaiah sought to remind the fans about safety and precautionary measures enforced in the State now following the unfortunate episode of stampede during the victory celebrations last year. “The State Police Department has issued certain guidelines regarding the celebrations of RCB’s victory. These are for your safety and well-being, so please make sure to follow them,” he said.

Chief Minister-designate D.K. Shivakumar said: “RCB has created history by clinching a second consecutive IPL title. With grit, composure, and the heart of true champions, the team has once again made Bengaluru proud. Congratulations to the players, coaches, support staff, and millions of fans who stood by the team every step of the way.”

Union Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy said: “From commanding performances to moments of brilliance under pressure, this title was built on consistency, character and an unrelenting will to win. Special applause to Virat Kohli, whose bat once again spoke with authority throughout the tournament, amassing over 650 runs and inspiring the team at every step. Equally commendable was Bhuvaneshwar Kumar whose masterful bowling and 28 wickets provided crucial breakthroughs whenever the team needed them most. Captain Rajat Patidar led with composure, courage and conviction, setting the tone both as a leader and a dependable contributor with the bat.”
