Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday (December 11, 2025). They reviewed the progress of India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.

“Had a very warm and engaging conversation with President Trump. We reviewed the progress in our bilateral relations and discussed regional and international developments. India and the U.S. will continue to work together for global peace, stability and prosperity,” PM Modi said in a post on X.

They exchanged views on expanding cooperation in critical technologies, energy, defence and security, and other priority areas that are central to the implementation of the India–U.S. COMPACT (Catalysing Opportunities for Military Partnership, Accelerated Commerce & Technology) for the 21st century, according to an official statement.

The leaders exchanged views on expanding cooperation in trade, critical technologies, energy, defence and security.

“Mr. Modi and Mr. Trump underlined the importance of sustaining momentum in shared efforts to enhance bilateral trade,” the statement said. The two leaders agreed to remain in touch.
