The Hyderabad Police has urged citizens not to fall for rumours of fuel shortage, assuring that petrol and diesel stocks sufficient for nearly 60 days are available across the city.

Addressing concerns triggered by widespread panic buying, the city Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar on Wednesday (March 25, 2026) clarified that fuel supply remains uninterrupted and that authorities are in constant coordination with oil companies to ensure smooth distribution. He explained that the appearance of “No Stock” boards at a few petrol bunks was only a temporary outcome of an unusual surge in demand caused by panic-driven bulk purchases.
