Nearly 15 vehicles parked at the Pangode police station were damaged in a fire that broke out on the station premises on Monday.

The incident occurred around 8.15 a.m. The fire reportedly started while the cleaning staff were burning waste materials within the compound. The flames quickly spread to the vehicles parked nearby.

Most of the damaged vehicles were those involved in accidents or seized in connection with theft cases and were being kept at the station yard. The fire was later brought under control by fire force and police personnel. An investigation has been instituted into the incident.
