Minister for Roads and Buildings B.C. Janardhan Reddy assured on Sunday (April 5, 2026) that the Paradi bridge, currently under construction over the Vegavathi River, will be completed in a couple of months. The bridge is essential for hassle-free transport between Parvathipuram and Vizianagaram via Bobbili town.

Along with TDP MLA Baby Nayana and senior officials, he inspected the construction progress of the bridge and other road works in the Bobbili constituency.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, he said that the previous YSRCP Government had ignored road development and the construction of bridges on important routes. He mentioned that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was allocating funds quickly for important roads and bridges.

Earlier, the people of Badangi and Terlam met with the Minister and requested that new routes be developed since vehicles had been diverted to their mandals due to the construction of the new bridge at Paradi. They noted that the internal roads had been damaged due to the continuous movement of vehicles over the last two years. Mr. Janardhan Reddy assured them that he would work on developing the roads in the villages of those two mandals as well.
