Panchayat resolves to provide funeral services at a nominal cost of ₹1

The newly elected body of the Burugupally gram panchayat in Gangadhara mandal of Karimnagar district has passed a unanimous resolution in its maiden meeting held on Monday to provide funeral services at the local cremation ground for a nominal charge of ₹ 1. According to sources, a resolution to this effect was passed soon after the swearing in ceremony of the sarpanch and other elected representatives of the gram panchayat on Monday. The maiden meeting unanimously adopted the resolution entrusting the responsibility of implementing the initiative on the newly elected sarpanch.
