AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami urged the Central government on Sunday (March 1, 2026) to initiate necessary measures to ensure the safety of Tamils living in various countries in West Asia.

In a social media post, Mr. Palaniswami requested the Central government to take action. He also appealed to all Indians and Tamil people living and working in countries in West Asia, including the United Arab Emirates, to remain safe given the tensions in the region.
