P. Sumathi appointed ‘first Woman Secretary’ to Law Department

P. Sumathi, a full-time Member Secretary of the State Law Commission, has been appointed as Secretary to the Law Department. According to an official release, Ms. Sumathi becomes the first woman to hold the post of Secretary to the Law Department, marking a significant milestone. She succeeds S. George Alexander, who served for three years and retired on May 31.
