The State witnessed yet another deceased donor organ donation on Thursday (April 9, 2026) when the family of Jai Jayakumar, a 35-year-old IT professional in Technopark, who was declared brain-dead while undergoing treatment at a hospital here, decided to donate her organs to save the lives of several others.

Six organs, including the heart, liver, two kidneys and both corneas, were harvested, for transplanting in others with end-stage organ failure, who are on the transplant waiting lists.
