Opposing campaigns in Kerala map out the best- and worst-case scenarios for their respective alliances

As the clock winds inexorably down to the counting of votes in 140 Assembly constituencies spread across 14 districts in Kerala on May 4, opposing political campaigns are making a last-minute attempt to map out best- and worst-case scenarios for their respective alliances in what appears to be a fragmented, multi-party electoral landscape. 

For one, exit polls apparently favouring the United Democratic Front (UDF) have left the Congress-led Opposition feeling bullish.
