Ondede Rangothsava-Laingika Alpasankhyatara Utsava to be held on February 21 and 22

The ‘Ondede Rangothsava-Laingika Alpasankhyatara Utsava,’ a two-day cultural festival of gender and sexual diversity through art, performance, and lived traditions, will be held at National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Bengaluru, on February 21 and 22.

Organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Indian Social Institute, Department of Kannada and Culture, Karnataka Sahithya Academy, Karnataka Nataka Academy, and Ondede, The Ondede Rangothsava aims to create a shared space centering voices that are often unheard, with festival foregrounds expression, dignity, and visibility through theatre, dance, poetry, music, and community-led performances.

The ustava will be attended by Asha Menon, judge and chairperson of Advisory Committee, Equal Opportunity Policy for Transgenders in India; Priyanka Mary Francis, director, NGMA Bengaluru; L.N. Mukundaraj, president, Karnataka Sahitya Academy; and theatre personality Mandya Ramesh, among others.
