Telangana Tourism Department officials on Saturday, January 3, reviewed preparations for the International Kite and Sweet Festival 2026, scheduled to be held from January 13 to 15 at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad.

The festival will feature participation by national and international kite flyers, along with renowned sweet makers from across the country. The inspection was led by Valluri Kranthi, Managing Director of Telangana Tourism Development Corporation along with DCP (Traffic) Dannarapu Srinivas, Additional DCP (Law and Order) Venugopal Reddy, GHMC Deputy Commissioner Sujatha, and officials from the Fire Services and Tourism departments.

During the inspection, officials issued instructions on safety arrangements, parking facilities, traffic regulation, fire safety measures and sanitation to ensure the smooth conduct of the three-day festival. They underlined the importance of close coordination among all concerned departments to manage large crowds and avoid inconvenience to visitors.
