The non-tribal Project Affected Families (PAF) of Polavaram irrigation project would be allowed to choose the option of ‘One Time Settlement’ on or before Tuesday at special cell at the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) in Chintoor of Polavaram district.

Chintoor ITDA Project Officer, Subham Nokwal, stated in a release that the non-tribals displaced due to the Polavaram irrigation project would be given the compensation through ‘OTS’ method if they choose the option.

The OTS is the option 3, through which the cost of the land earmarked for housing and cost of the construction of the house will be paid to the displaced family. In the option-1, the government will construct the houses in the Resettlement and Rehabilitation colony and the cost of the land will be paid in the option-2.
