The State government has accorded sanction for a loan of ₹8.57 crore for Kudumbashree members in the landslide-hit areas of Meppadi in Wayanad.

The proposal was made by the Executive Director, Kudumbashree, and approved by the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC). Under the scheme, as many as 437 affected members will be given a total loan amount of ₹8.57 crore, to be financed by the Kerala Gramin Bank, Kerala Bank, Bank of Baroda, and the Central Bank of India.

The estimated total interest liability for the special scheme is approximately ₹1.94 crore (including moratorium). The interest amount of ₹1.94 crore will be met from the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, according to an order issued by the State government.
