The Dasara exhibition this year is set to run from September 22 to December 2, continuing to be one of the popular events associated with the festivities, even after the main celebrations conclude.

The Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) is giving the exhibition grounds a makeover, revamping the stalls and enhancing the premises to make them more attractive and draw a greater number of visitors.

As in previous years, the exhibition will feature a series of cultural events at the P. Kalingarao Gana Mantapa, providing a platform for many talented artistes to showcase their talents. However, this year, the KEA has decided not to accept any new applications for performing in the cultural events, due to a large number of pending applications from the past two years. Since it is not feasible to allocate stage time to all applicants, KEA has decided to temporarily suspend accepting new applications for performances in this year’s exhibition.

The stalls of the government departments, boards, and corporations would be set up, providing information about schemes and welfare programmes. The departments have been asked to keep their stalls ready before the opening of the expo and the work on the stalls are under way.
