The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Vice-Chancellor Sudhir Krishnaswamy has claimed that there was no request made by him to meet students and discuss the details of upcoming convocation 2026.

On August 15, the students and alumni of the NLSIU, Bengaluru, wrote an open letter signed by hundreds of graduating students, current students and alumni opposing the attendance of Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant and Bar Council of India (BCI) Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra in the upcoming convocation.

However, graduating students from the NLSIU claimed on Monday that the Vice-Chancellor had asked them to form a delegation to meet him. The Hindu had also reached out to Mr. Krishnaswamy for his comments over calls and text message, which went unanswered.
