Former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, on Sunday (May 3, 2026), launched his ‘Sadbhav Yatra’ from Bagaha in West Champaran district, following his father’s long-held tradition of launching all political yatras from the Champaran region.

The young leader was welcomed by Janata Dal (United) workers and supporters while passing through the different districts before reaching Valmiki Nagar, where he would stay. Bihar JD(U) president Umesh Singh Kushwaha and JD-(U) Legislature Party leader Shrawon Kumar accompanied him in a modified vehicle equipped with an elevator for public addresses.
