As part of National Science Day celebrations, NIMHANS will organise a two-day exhibition from March 3 at its Convention Centre. National Science Day is observed every year to commemorate physicist C.V. Raman’s discovery of the “Raman Effect”, which earned India its first Nobel Prize in science.

The exhibition will feature interactive exhibits, demonstrations, multimedia presentations, quiz contests and mind games. It will showcase scientific and research activities undertaken at NIMHANS in the fields of mental health and neurosciences.

According to an official release, the event will provide an opportunity for the public to interact with clinicians, scientists, researchers, paramedical staff and students, and to learn about ongoing work and recent developments. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see and experience a preserved human brain as part of the display.

The event will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on both days. Entry is free, the release added.
