Officials of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids on the houses of the accused, who were arrested for alleged links with terrorist organisations.

The NIA conducted searches at a house at Vinchipeta, Vijayawada amid tight security, on Wednesday (July 8, 2026), and reportedly seized some more evidence in the case.

The Two Town police had arrested Md. Rahamatulla Shariff and two other suspects, Mohammad Danish and Mirza Sohail, of Vijayawada, in the case in March this year.

The police arrested nine other accused, who allegedly maintained contacts with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and other banned terrorist groups. Later, the NIA took over the case.

The police arrested the remaining accused in the terror-links case, including a woman, from Telangana, Gujarat, Rajasthan and other States.

The NIA reportedly seized some digital evidence from the houses of the accused, it is learnt.

Investigation is on.
