The Medical Trust Hospital has come up with a new lab with facilities for organ transplant tests in Kerala. Named Advanced Center for Transplant Immunology & Molecular Science (ACTIMoS), the laboratory has been set up at the Motherline building of the Medical Trust Hospital, the hospital authorities said.

According to the doctors, the lab can carry out tests that can ascertain organ compatibility as well as prevent cases of organ transplant rejection.

The doctors added that carrying out such tests is vital as they significantly increase the success rate of organ transplants in recipients. These tests also help ascertain the priority criteria as well.
