J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who chaired the Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting of top security officials in Srinagar on Tuesday (October 27, 2026), directed security agencies that “operations must continue to neutralise the remnants of the terrorist ecosystem”.

“A foolproof counter-strategy must be implemented to completely choke off logistical and financial support for terrorists. We must step up measures to disrupt and counter infiltration,” said Mr. Sinha.

He directed the security agencies that operations must continue to neutralise the remnants of the terrorist ecosystem. “We should aggressively target and dismantle the networks trying to misguide and radicalize the people,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

The L-G also reviewed the operational preparedness of police and security agencies during the winter, and emphasised the need for maintaining vigilance to counter emerging threats.

The meeting was attended by top officials of the army, police, CRPF, intelligence agencies and civil administration. Mr. Sinha said that real-time collaboration is vital to realising our security objectives.

He directed the security forces and J&K Police to build public trust by ensuring that the voices of the people are heard and their grievances are resolved. He also congratulated the Army, CAPF, J&K Police and intelligence agencies for the peaceful conduct of the Amarnath Yatra.
