Following the flash floods in Nepal and related disruptions along the Nepal-Tibet border, the Karnataka Revenue department has set up a helpline or State Emergency Operation Centre to collect information and assist people from Karnataka who might be currently stranded in Nepal.

The department has shared a link of Google document and requested the tour operators, family members or even stranded persons to provide information through this document so that they can be contacted for rescue.

The officials stated that their department is coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs through Embassy of India in Nepal and in Beijing.

The Helpline number for those who are stranded is 1070 / 080-22253707 and individuals can write an email to seockarnataka@gmail.com

On August 26, massive flash floods from Bhotekoshi river swept through villages in Rasuwa district and around 133 Indians have gone missing.
