Ruling National Conference (NC) Member of Parliament (MP) Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan has met Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine, in New Delhi and expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine, the party said on Friday (January 30, 2026).

“During the interaction, MP Ramzan expressed deep concern over the disturbing and heart-wrenching visuals and reports emerging from Palestine and condemned the violence and suffering of innocent civilians. He expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine and emphasized that there is no military solution to the conflict,” a NC spokesman said.

The party said MP Ramzan called for a just, durable, and comprehensive peace and underlined the need for dialogue, diplomacy, and meaningful negotiations. “History shows violence deepens divisions, while dialogue opens the path to reconciliation and peace,” Mr. Ramzan told the Palestinian leader.

The NC spokesman said Dr. Aghabekian on Thursday (January 29) briefed the attendees on the current political developments and the prevailing ground and humanitarian situation in Palestine.
