The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced special early morning services on June 21 in view of the International Yoga Day celebrations being organised across Bengaluru.

Namma Metro services will commence at 5 am from all terminal stations on all lines, instead of the regular Sunday service start time of 7 a.m. The move is aimed at helping commuters and participants conveniently travel to various yoga venues across the city, according to officials.

BMRCL stated that the special arrangement has been made to ensure that people can easily access International Yoga Day programmes scheduled in different parts of Bengaluru during the early hours of the day.

International Yoga Day is observed annually on June 21, with several events, yoga sessions and wellness programmes being organised by government agencies, educational institutions and various organisations across the city.
