Police have taken at least 10 persons into custody and ordered a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)-level inquiry into the alleged role and conduct of Nallapadu Circle Inspector (CI) Kandepu Vamsidhar in connection with an attack on a private hospital in the city.

The action follows allegations of corruption and dereliction of duty raised by Jana Sena Party State general secretary Bonaboyina Srinivas Yadav, who expressed outrage over the CI’s alleged conduct.
