Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana announced on Wednesday that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will hold talks in the first week of October on the budget requirements and infrastructure facilities for the Godavari Pushkarams-2027.

Mr. Narayana, along with East Godavari District Collector and Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation in-charge Commissioner Keerthi Chekuri, reviewed the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) prepared by the civic body for the Godavari Pushkaram works. These include proposals for crowd management, and development of ghats.

Speaking to the media after the review meeting with municipal corporation authorities, Mr. Narayana said: “Tenders will be invited for the ₹290 crore works sanctioned under the AMRUT 2.0 in Rajamahendravaram City. Additionally, ₹456 crore worth works are in progress covering drainage system, roads and Pushkar ghats development.”

He also confirmed that the construction of the 50 MLD sewage treatment plant in Rajamahendravaram City would be completed by February next year. Rajamahendravaram Urban Development Authority chairman Boddu Venkata Ramana, MLA Adireddi Srinivas, Rajanagaram MLA B. Balarama Krishna and other officials attended the meeting.
