The Indian Institute of Educational Theatre is organising a discussion titled ‘Kailasam – A Unique Genius’ on Sunday, October 5, at 11.00 a.m. on the institute premises located on the campus of Hardwick PU College in Mysuru.
“Kailasam was an extraordinary talent of the past century — a playwright, an actor, and a remarkable writer in both Kannada and English. The questions he raised through his plays and writings still remain relevant and continue to inspire discussions today. Revisiting his works and staging his plays are indeed the need of the present time,” a press note from the institute said.
K. Venkataraju, senior theatre practitioner, Shantala Kalavidaru, Chamarajanagar; Manjunath B. R., writer, Bengaluru; Shashidhar Dongre, playwright, Mysuru; and Prasanna, senior theatre director, Heggodu; will participate in the discussion.
