Modern digital studio for EMRC, Osmania University

Osmania University (OU) Vice-Chancellor Kumar Molugaram on Sunday inaugurated the newly-developed, state-of-the-art digital studio at the Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC).

The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Parikshat Singh Manhas, director of Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC), New Delhi, Jitendra Kumar Tripathi, joint secretary ofc

The UGC announced a ₹50-lakh grant for renovation of the 30-year-old building.

On the occasion, the officials released the book ‘Re-envisioning Higher Education in Digital Era… Towards Viksit Bharat 2047’ featuring 45 selected research papers from a national conference organised by OU EMRC. They also unveiled posters showcasing 11 SWAYAM online courses being offered by CEC-EMRC OU for the July semester and reviewed various academic production modules at the centre.

Addressing the gathering Mr. Molugaram encouraged them to actively develop Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), stating that they would help address faculty shortages and ensure uniform, high-quality education across the country.

Mr. Manhas praised OU EMRC as one of the top-performing EMRCs among the 20 centres nationwide and assured continued support for research projects and MOOCs.

EMRC director P. Raghupathi, officer on special duty Jitendra Kumar Nayak and dean of UGC Affairs B. Lavanya were among those present.
