Congress MLA from Achampet Chikkudu Vamshi Krishna criticised former minister and BRS leader S. Niranjan Reddy’s comments on the Achampet Lift Irrigation project, stating that Reddy’s claims were “completely untrue”.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, he said that the project had been sanctioned just before the 2023 election notification. He claimed that work on the project began after his victory but was halted due to a court case filed by Reddy. Krishna accused the previous BRS government of neglecting the Palamuru district, stating that the only notable project initiated was Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP). He alleged that the previous government caused significant losses to Telangana, claiming that “if AP Chief Ministers caused a loss of Rs 100 to Telangana state, KCR caused a loss of Rs 1,000 to Telangana.”

Wanaparthy MLA Megha Reddy flays KTR:

Wanaparthy MLA Tudi Megha Reddy has taken strong exception to BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao’s ‘objectionable comments’ on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. “KTR should apologise for his remarks about bribes regarding Group 1 selections. The parents of the selected candidates had filed a case against him,” he said. Megha Reddy highlighted the progress made on the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project under the current government led by Revanth Reddy. He mentioned that the Congress government sanctioned Rs. 6868 crores for the project, which was started during the Congress regime. The MLA emphasised that the project would be completed, despite attempts to sabotage it.
