What’s in the Mirzapur The Movie teaser?
The teaser suggests that Mirzapur The Movie takes viewers back to 2018, placing the story around the same timeline as the events of the first season of Prime Video’s series Mirzapur. Since the film is set before later developments in the series, Munna Bhaiya, played by Divyenndu, returns to the screen despite the character’s death in Season 2.
The story also highlights Kaleen Bhaiya’s concerns about whether his son Munna is capable of carrying forward his legacy. At the same time, the Pandit brothers, played by Ali Fazal and Jitendra Kumar, are seen plotting their next move as they aim to take on Munna’s empire and rise to power in Mirzapur. The teaser brings back several familiar faces from the series while also introducing new cast members, including Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Sonal Chauhan and Sushant Singh.
For the unversed, the crime thriller series Mirzapur first premiered in 2018, with its third season released in 2024, and it went on to become a fan favourite. So far, three seasons of the show have been released.
