Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy urged the people to support the government’s efforts for development of villages and strengthening of local bodies.

The in-charge Minister of Annamayya district, Mr Janardhan, along with transport Minister M. Ramprasad Reddy, District Collector Nishant Kumar and elected representatives and leaders of the alliance partners, on Thursday participated in `Two Years of Trust, Good Governance, Development and Welfare,’ celebratory event marking held in Madanapalle.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Janardhan said that the alliance government is steering the State forward through development and welfare.

Highlighting the ‘Jaladhara’ programme implemented in the district, he said that it has become a model for the entire State, as results are visible in groundwater replenishment, tank interlinking, and water conservation through the programme. He congratulated the district administration and officials from the Revenue and Irrigation departments for the achievement.

The in-charge Minister said: “We are advancing development of the State alongside the implementation of the ‘Super Six’ schemes announced during the elections.” He highlighted that the State’s economy received a boost through job creation, promotion of industries, and investments. “The government is making rapid strides in development of the State capital, irrigation projects, expansion of infrastructure, and promotion of investments,” he asserted.

Earlier, the Ministers inspected stalls set up by various departments including MEPMA, Water Management Agency, DRDA, the School Education Department, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, the Transport Department, Civil Supplies, Agriculture, Anna Canteens, and others.
