The State government’s objective is to provide superior services and amenities to devotees visiting temples across the State, Minister for Endowments Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said, adding the government gave utmost importance to the development of temples.

Mr. Ramanarayana Reddy on Saturday (June 27, 2026) visited the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam and took part in special prayers. The Minister asked the officials to constantly monitor the situation and take immediate action to ensure that no devotee visiting for darshan faced any difficulty.

The Minister wanted officials to focus on providing hassle-free darshan to devotees, queue management, drinking water supply, sanitation and necessary amenities in the areas where devotees wait. He advised them to make advance plans to ensure devotees faced no inconvenience during peak hours.

Mr. Ramanarayana Reddy personally interacted with devotees who had arrived from Hyderabad, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh, to gather their feedback and suggestions on the services provided by the temple management. He instructed officials to respect the devotees’ views and make the necessary changes.

The Minister also inspected the proposed site for the water aerodrome terminal building near the sewage treatment plant (STP), and discussed the project’s progress with officials.

Inspecting the residential quarters built for the temple staff at Sunnipenta, Mr. Ramanarayana Reddy said 297 houses of three different models had been constructed at a cost of about ₹60 crore. Following directives from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, measures had been taken to provide all amenities suitable for staff accommodation, he said.

Internal roads within the housing complex are being constructed at an estimated cost of ₹10 crore, and the process of relocating temple staff to Sunnipenta would begin soon. He also announced that an adequate number of buses would be arranged for the staff commuting from Sunnipenta to Srisailam for their duties.

“The government is committed to providing services, development of temples at a speedy pace, and ensuring satisfactory darshan for every pilgrim. There would be no compromise in the service rendered to devotees,” he said.

Additional Commissioner of the Endowments Department S.S. Chandrashekhar Azad, Srisailam temple Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao and engineering officials were present.
