Minimum temperatures across Telangana are likely to be below normal by 2°C to 3°C at isolated pockets over the next two to three days, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD). In its latest bulletin, the IMD did not issue any cold wave alert saying that dry weather is very likely to prevail over the State.

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see mainly clear sky. “Mist or hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning or night hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 28°C and 13°C respectively,” the bulletin said.

Meanwhile, according to Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), between December 26 and 27, a total of seven districts in the State recorded temperatures of 10°C or below. Sirpur in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 7.4°C.

This was followed by 7.6°C in Kohir (Sangareddy), 8.8°C in Bheempoor (Adilabad), 9.2°C in Moinabad (Rangareddy), 9.4°C in Akbarpet (Siddipet), 9.5°C in Gandhari (Kamareddy) and 10°C in Pembi (Nirmal).

The remaining 27 districts recorded temperatures ranging between 10°C and 14°C. In urban locations, Uppal in Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 10.7°C and Tirumalagiri in Hyderabad recorded 11.7°C.
