Members of the Belagavi city corporation will leave for a study tour to Indore, which has been winning the top slot among the cleanest cities in India, as per the Swach Sarvekshana survey for a few years now.
The team will leave after Diwali and study the systems and processes that were implemented by the Indore city corporation to achieve the status for nearly eight years. BCC members have completed a study tour to Chandigarh in January. The tour is organised under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The budget is said to be around ₹60 lakh.
The tour will start on October 26. Members of the BCC’s health standing committee had been on a study tour to Indore last year. Members of the Karwar city municipal corporation had been on a study tour to Indore last month.
