Mayoral elections: Prohibitory orders imposed in Karimnagar Police Commissionerate limits

Prohibitory orders have been imposed in the Karimnagar Police Commissionerate limits under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) in view of the indirect elections to the posts of Mayor and Deputy Mayor, Chairperson and deputy Chairpersons of the municipal bodies on Monday (February 16).

The orders will remain in force from 6 a.m. on February 16 to 6 a.m. on February 17, 2026, a press release said.

Gathering of three or more persons has been prohibited in the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation, Choppadandi, Huzurabad and Jammikunta municipal limits.
