Prime Minister Narendra Modi was presented with a monolithic marble statue of Swami Vivekananda, carved by renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj in Mysuru on Saturday.

The marble statue was presented to Mr Modi ahead of the public address at Ramakrishna Vidyashala in Mysuru on Saturday evening measured 18 inches in height and weighed approximately 8.5 kg.

“I express my heartfelt gratitude to Ramakrishna Math for entrusting me with this opportunity. It is a truly humbling experience to contribute, through my art, to this meaningful gesture of respect and admiration for the timeless ideals of Swami Vivekananda”, said the Mysuru-based sculptor Mr Yogiraj, who had created the idol of Ram Lalla for Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir.
