The Medical Assessment and Rating Board for Homoeopathy (MARBH) has granted conditional permission for the intake of 63 seats for the BHMS course and 23 seats in Doctor in Medicine in Homeopathic (MD) in Dr. Allu Ramalinaiah Government Homoeopathic Medical College in Rajamahendravaram city on Tuesday (November 4, 2025).

The National Commission for Homeopathy had reduced the number of BHMS seats from 63 to 50 and cancelled M.D in based on the Homeopathic recommendations by the MARBH, which observed infrastructure deficiencies and lack of faculty in the college during the inspection in April.

In August, Rajamahendravaram Member of Parliament D. Purandeswari has appealed to Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State for the Ministry of Ayush and Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, to restore the seats in the college.

In an official release issued on November 4, Ms. Purandeswari has claimed; “The MARBH has granted conditional permission for the intake of 63 BHMS seats and 23 MD seats – 8 seats each in the departments of Organon of Medicine with Homeopathic Philosophy and Homeopathic Materia medica and seven seats in Repertory department”. All these seats are including for the candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections. The admission into all the BHMS and MD is being allowed from the academic year 2025-26.
