A 31-year-old man died after falling while attempting to board a moving train at Secunderabad railway station on Monday (June 8).

The deceased has been identified as Md Azad Ansari, 31, a labourer from Garhwa district of Jharkhand.

The incident was reported around 9.45 p.m. at platform number 8, where the man tried to board the Jaipur Express as it was departing. He lost his balance and fell, sustaining fatal injuries.

An Aadhaar card recovered from his possession helped establish his identity, and his relatives were subsequently informed.

Police said the body has been shifted for postmortem and will be handed over to the family members after completion of legal formalities. A case was booked and further investigation is under way.
