The police on Sunday (October 19) arrested a labourer for allegedly killing another labourer with a brush cutter at Charankavu near Manjeri. The victim, Praveen, 35, of Chathangottupuram, was reportedly attacked by Moideenkutty, 40, of Charankavu, who slit his throat with the tool at a bus stop in the area.
According to the police, the accused killed Praveen without any provocation. He was taken into custody soon after the incident, and further questioning is under way.
