The Bengaluru police arrested a man in his mid-40s, identified as Haniyuru Chandre Gowda, for allegedly sexually exploiting multiple women and blackmailing them with private pictures and videos.

The arrest followed a complaint by a 43-year-old victim. The complainant, a make-up artist, was befriended by Gowda on a television serial set. According to the FIR, the victim had distanced herself from her husband, and Gowda promised to help her obtain a divorce and gradually grew closer to her.
