The much-awaited Malayalam movie ‘Patriot’, marking the full-fledged reunion of senior actors Mammootty and Mohanlal after 18 years, reached theatres on Friday (May 1, 2026).

The shows for the inaugural day were sold out in advance as fans of the lead actors thronged cinemas, anticipating an exciting movie experience. Touted to be an espionage action drama, the movie is directed by directed by Mahesh Narayanan whose earlier movies include ‘Ariyippu’, ‘Malik’, ‘Take Off’, and ‘C U Soon’. The movie was released over 500 screens in Kerala alone.
