West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday (January 9, 2026) is protesting against the raids conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the I-PAC office, and residence of its co-founder Pratik Jain. 

Ms. Banerjee will lead the procession from Jadavapur 8B Bus Stand to Hazra More.

On Thursday (January 8, 2026), Ms. Banerjee visited the I-PAC office and the ED accused her of removing key evidence from both locations. 

The ED and I-PAC on Thursday moved the Calcutta High Court over the central agency’s searches at the office and residence of I-PAC chief Pratik Jain. Justice Suvra Ghosh, before whom the matters were mentioned, is likely to take them up for hearing on Friday.

Meanwhile, eight TMC MPs, Derek O’Brien, Satabdi Roy, Mahua Moitra, Bapi Haldar, Saket Gokhale, Pratima Mondal, Kirti Azad and Dr. Sharmila Sarkar are staging a dharna at Amit Shah’s office in Delhi on Friday.
