Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka visited the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) headquarters, Andhra Ratna Bhavan, here on Friday (February 27) and he received a grand welcome from Congress leaders and party workers.

Mr. Vikramarka handed over the invitation to his son’s wedding to former PCC president and Congress Working Committee (CWC) member Gidugu Rudra Raju. Invitations were also extended to PCC general secretary Meda Suresh, PCC vice-president Gurnadham, former A.P. Mahila Congress president Lam Tantia Kumari and several other senior Congress leaders. Mr. Bhatti personally urged them to attend the wedding ceremony.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Vikramarka offered special prayers at the famed Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada. Temple authorities accorded him traditional honours and Vedic scholars blessed him following the rituals.

Several Congress leaders, including Gidugu Rudra Raju and Meda Suresh, accompanied Mr. Vikramarka during the temple visit.

Mr. Vikramarka’s son, Mallu Surya Vikramaditya, is set to tie the knot on March 5 in Hyderabad.
