The Congress is set to launch a protest march in Buldhana district of Maharashtra on Monday against the “anti-farmer” policies of the BJP government.
State Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal will lead the protest that will witness the participation of party leaders, workers and farmers, the Congress stated in a release on Sunday. “Farmers are not getting the right prices for their crops, and rising inflation has made farming very difficult,” the party said, adding that Maharashtra recorded the highest number of farmer suicides in India.
