Mahayuti candidates were leading in both the Baramati and Rahuri Assembly byelection as counting of votes progressed on Monday (May 4, 2026).

Counting began at 8 a.m., with Nationalist Congress Party candidate Sunetra Ajit Pawar leading with 26,773 votes, while R.Y. Ghutukade of the New Rashtriya Samaj Party trailed.
