The Madras High Court, on Wednesday (April 15, 2026), stayed all further proceedings in a disproportionate assets case pending against Tamil Nadu Fisheries Minister Anitha R. Radhakrishnan of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), and his family members at the Principal Sessions Court in Thoothukudi.

First Division Bench of Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G. Arul Murugan granted the interim stay pursuant to a petition filed by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) urging the High Court to transfer the case from Thoothukudi to a court of equal rank in Madurai.
